Back in June, Google Announced an initiative to begin blocking ads with its chrome browser (including Google’s Ad). This announcement entails that “ people using chrome ad blocker browser extension has been on the rise ” and Google wants to make sure web users can have pleasant experience without annoying ads.

Starting from February 15 , Google will begin to block annoying ads from chrome browser but only on one condition: that’s if the website doesn’t pass Google’s “ Better Ads Standard “.

Website owner must make sure their website complies with Better Ads Standard by using Google Ads Experience Report. If it shows “ Pass” status, ad will continue to show on the website but if it shows “ failed” for 30 days or more. Chrome will stop showing ad on that website. The website owner need to request revision for chrome to start displaying Ads on that site again.

We hope this will reduce those overly annoying Ads that displays everywhere like full-page ads, ads that flash, ads that redirects and ads that unexpectedly plays sound and videos.
