WhatsApp Update: Private Replies And PiP Features Coming Soon In The Latest WhatsApp

Bigup to WhatsApp has they are seriously working hard to release timely updates that makes the platform more user friendly and easy to use. In 2017, we saw a lot of new features added and there is no sign it's stopping anytime soon. Now, another update is coming to WhatsApp Web/desktop version that will allow you reply to a group message privately and also use the PiP features.

According to Wabetainfo, this update will be available for WhatsApp Web/Desktop version soon. At the moment, it's undergoing development. It's expected that users of the web version will see this new feature in the near future, hopefully in 2018.

UPCOMING WHATSAPP WEB FEATURES

Private Replies: This feature allows you reply to messages sent on groups privately.
There will be a new option called
"Reply priv“Reply privately”: when selected, WhatsApp will automatically open the chat with the contact to send a message. The sent message will quote the group message.



Picture in Picture Feature(PIP): The new update, when rolled out, will allow you to watch sent and received videos in a new separated window: this is called the PiP feature!

A new icon will be available when you’re watching the video:
When the user selects this option, the picture in picture will be started with the selected video, presenting a new window with a very nice UI.

Hopefully, it will start rolling out in 2018.
