Nokia 6 (2018) has started receiving Android 8 Oreo update that was planned before the update from Android 7.1.1 Nougat before its sale.
Normally, latest Nokia 6 (2016) smartphone comes officially with Android Nougat operating system (OS) but the update to Oreo shocked everyone as it comes before its sale. Nokia plans to start the official sales for new Nokia 6 (2018) from 10th of January 2018 in China .
Moreover, the Oreo comes along with Google playstore and also gives users the ability to install Google services into the phone to save effort from unlocking the bootloader to install Google’s applications.
Nokia 6 (2018) is the refresh version from China featuring an improved processor, more RAM and USB-C. It supports 3000mAh battery capital and 4GB RAM with 32GB/64GB inbuilt memory storage expandable up to 128GB using a MicroSD card.
In similarity to its predecessor, Nokia 6 (2018) has 8MP back camera and 16MP front-facing camera with Dual LED flash which is similar to that of Nokia 6 . The 3000mAh battery and the connectivity options remains the same.
In difference, Nokia 6 (2018) was upgraded from Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 of Nokia 6 – the predecessor, to Qualcomm Snapdragon 630. Unlike the previous model, the fingerprint sensor of Nokia 6 (2018) was shifted to the back.
This will however disappoint Nokia users of the Nokia 6 (2018) smartphone that was shipped with Android 7 Nougat in the first place but quickly receives an Oreo Update before its official sales day.
